CiviCRM: in summary

CiviCRM: Open Source Software

CiviCRM is an open-source CRM software, however instead of customer relations, they focus on constituency relationship management. The program is specifically designed for non-profit, non-governmental, and advocacy groups. It's designed to manage all types of information about an organization, including: donor information, members, event registrants, subscribers, and more. With over 24 million participants signed using CiviCRM, it's fair to say that it's first in its class.

Features

Some of the features that make CiviCRM so unique include:

  • Contact Management: Store all related data to specific contacts in one place. Add detailed notes, like their communication preferences, and add multiple phone numbers and emails, even for one person.
  • Contribution Management: Track, process, and report contributions all in one easy-to-access place. You can even gift acknowledgements to contributors.
  • Events: All the tools you need to easily run events, with features like registration forms, volunteer sign-up, pre-event and post-event reminders and wrap-ups, and more.
  • Membership: Manage your membership program and integrate it with other features. People wishing to join can sign up, pay the membership dues, receive membership renewal reminders, and more.
  • Email Marketing: It's easier than ever to send out mass emails to pre-set lists. You can even get reports on emails with statistics like open-rates and click-through rates, or monitor rates and unsubscribes.
  • Reports: Improve and reorient your organization's direction with over 40 standard reports designed to evaluate your impact.
  • Case Management: Create, manage, and track case management workflows, such as recording a phone call with a constituent.
  • Advocacy Campaigns: Build campaigns by tying together and tracking the progress of a campaign's events, mailings, activities, and contributions.
  • Peer-to-Peer Fundraisers: Share fundraisers among supporters, and allow donors to set things like fundraising goals.
